The idea
Groceries get bought twice, food gets forgotten at the back of the fridge, and nobody at home knows what is already in the pantry.
Fridgo started from that problem: one shared list of everything in the house, that works without a signal and tells you which food to use first, before it goes to waste.
The product
Open the app and the first thing you see is what needs your attention today.
Scan to add
Scan a barcode and Fridgo fills in the product from Open Food Facts, or you type it in.
Reminders before it expires
Fridgo sends a notification before food goes off, while there is still time to use it.
First to expire, first to use
Each purchase is its own batch, so using an item takes from the one that expires first.
Fridge, freezer and pantry
Filter by where things are kept, and search the whole house in one place.
One list for the household
Everyone at home shares the same inventory, kept in sync in the background.
See what you used
Every time you use something it is recorded, so you can see what your household actually eats.
Technologies
Fridgo is offline-first: changes are saved on the phone at once and synced in the background, so it keeps working without a connection.
